University of Oregon’s Hayward Field is the spiritual home of track and field in America, arguably the world. Taking from the grit and tenacity of track and field athletes, the visual identity is inspired by a hardcore attitude and punk flyers. It fuses bold typography with fresh pops of color (lifted from the University of Oregon palette) to give it a rebellious but playful tone. Utilizing playful mixed media films and various franchises built into the brand, Hayward Magic aims to stand out from the sea of sameness in the sport.
